The one with the fly

Okay, this week I’ll be super short. It will be like the episode with the fly on Breaking Bad. Or the sitcom one in Mr. Robot. That episode that doesn’t contribute much to the linearity of the story, but says a lot about the characters’ feelings and emotions.

Today is presidential election day and that is what I’ve been thinking about this whole week (plus other private problems that are… …private). It is super hard to develop a thesis in the middle of such important events as a presidential election that can impact drastically your life and future and a deadly pandemic. I’ve been struggling a lot to do decent work during these weird times. My anxiety is hitting hard.

We were asked to think about value propositions based on our interviews. This week I took the time to review all my interviews (10 so far), and it was a really good exercise. I love the feeling when I start to see patterns.

I found nine areas that I think my audience would benefit from (but remember, I am still thinking about my audience in a super broader way). The value propositions are:

Value Proposition 1
Rescue a deeper connection with music.

Value Proposition 2
Bring home the sensation of being at a concert.

Value Proposition 3
Reinforcing the connections between music and past memories.

Value Proposition 4
Facilitate music learning.

Value Proposition 5
Making music visually appealing (again).

Value Proposition 6
Bringing back serendipity to music.

Value Proposition 7
Facilitating a more curated experience.

Value Proposition 8
Bring the social aspect of listening to music back.

Value Proposition 9
Fighting anxiety with music.

Next week is our midterm presentation, so probably in the near future I will make a more decent post with a detailed midseason Recap. Stay tuned.
