Thesis S02E02

In the first week, I had discussed with my accountability buddy Claudia about my goals for the following week. I had decided on three main goals, but I knew it was almost impossible to achieve them all.

My first and main goal was obvious: find a thesis advisor. This was a rollercoaster, but after some weeks of being ghosted by every potential thesis advisor, I had some amazing meetings last week. I now have a thesis advisor and met some people in the music industry who offered to help me unofficially.

My second goal was to talk to at least one person that would be a “subject matter” and exchange ideas about my project. I had three very productive virtual coffees where I could present my ideas and receive feedback.

My third goal was to expand my research, especially about my competitors. And I failed miserably in this goal. But, to be honest, I was expecting only to reach my first goal. I not only reached the second one, but I exceed my expectations about it.

This week we had to think about our users' journey. It was a nice exercise. I have two main users: artists and supporters. The exercise made me think about a lot of details that have yet to be addressed. In the following images, it is possible to see the journeys and the questions they raised.

This exercise was very good for me. I am happy that I have an amazing wife that can help me think about my projects. :)
